Huntsman strategist: If Palin and Limbaugh dominate, GOP 'headed for a blowout' in 2012

John Weaver, an adviser to Utah Governor John Huntsman, said this week that the Republican party is headed for an electoral "blowout" if it continues to be defined by "Palin and Limbaugh and Cheney."

Consider that Weaver is a Republican political strategist in Utah, one of the nation's reddest states. And until President Obama stunned the political world last week by naming him Ambassador to The Peoples Republic of China, popular Governor Huntsman was on everyone's short list for the GOP presidential nomination in 2012.
